Call for Papers – Cuadernos de Política Exterior Argentina– CUPEA 143 First Semester 2026

2025-09-24

In recent decades, Africa has acquired growing relevance in the international system. It has consolidated itself as a priority area of interest for major powers and regional blocs, demonstrating its capacity for agency. This is reflected in its inclusion in groups such as the G20 and BRICS, the proliferation of summits, cooperation agreements, and strategic partnerships. Its economic dynamism, the establishment of the African Continental Free Trade Area, and its increasing influence in global governance forums place the continent at the center of debates on multipolarity, South–South cooperation, and the redefinition of international agendas.

In this context, the Journal CUPEA (https://cupea.unr.edu.ar/index.php/revista/index) invites scholars and researchers to submit articles for a thematic dossier dedicated to Africa in the contemporary international arena.

Original and unpublished contributions are welcome that, from a broad and multidisciplinary perspective, examine the political, economic, social, and cultural dynamics of the continent’s countries and institutions, as well as their processes of international insertion. Particular consideration will be given to works analyzing:

  • Recent political and social processes in Africa.

  • Trade, investment, and economic development.

  • Africa and international cooperation: actors, agendas, and challenges.

  • Comparative and interdisciplinary perspectives on Africa’s linkages with the Global South and its traditional partners.

  • Africa’s relations with Latin America and, in particular, with Argentina.

Submission deadlines and requirements
